5 Months Old!

Two days ago, little Miss Kathryn hit 5 months! She is getting so big... Here are a bunch of pictures. :)

In the midst of her signature roll. She must roll to her tummy every
time I put her down and then fuss that she's there...

Pretty unimpressed with me trying to get her to sit up with the boppy...

And her other signature activity - this child drools like no other. Constantly!

Jaina and Reilly at 5 months

Playing "teaching time." Apparently, Jaina is teaching Reilly.

Plans Schmans

We have been a little boring around here. (At least those of us in Arizona have been) Reilly came down with a nasty virus last Wednesday, along with our very first earache. We had a rough  4-5 days (and nights). We really hoped he would get over it all by himself, and tried supplementing his diet with some good nutrients, using some essential oils, etc. He did get over the virus, and has been feeling well for 2-3 days now, except for that pesky little ear. He kept complaining about it once or twice a day. When it started draining some scary-looking stuff I finally took him to the local E.R. yesterday (the only place that would take our out of state insurance.) It took almost 2 hours (they were having a busy afternoon, sadly) for them to finally confirm the ear infection and give us a prescription. He's never had an antibiotic, and Jeremy is allergic to a lot of them, so we're still keeping an eye on him. So far, so good. I'm just sorry he has to take that nasty pink stuff. Here is poor sick Reilly boy. (and happy Katy!)

And another one, because Katy's cute and getting so big!
So anyway, that's all we've been doing. Dealing with sick kids and a teething baby. And re-planning our life. Henderson is no longer happening, so Jeremy has been trying to figure that all out while studying like CRAZY for and taking Part IV Boards. He drove out to Utah (and managed to get snowed in in Cheyenne one night until 10 the next morning) to meet with several doctors there about precepting. As of right now, it looks like he'll be in Provo, and if we can find a decent place to rent for a few months, we'll be joining him. It's cold there, and we'll miss our family here, but we would like to be together as a family! (and I do love Provo, even in the winter...) A little crazy, but that's what's going on here.
Coming up later: Katy's 5-month photo shoot! (I hope - we haven't actually done it yet...we're a little behind this month)

Oh, and Uncle David? Is this your hat? I don't think Reilly is going to give it back...

Sick Ones

Yesterday was better than today. And I hope tonight is better than last night. Reilly was up at 1, then again at 3, and he didn't really ever get back to sleep after that. I am so thankful for my mom. I haven't had to do one of those nights in so long. (Just bits and pieces, if I hear him up because I'm already up with Katy) Around 5 am he decided his ear hurt. A lot. It's been a bit of a long day with him not feeling well, and Jaina wishing she didn't feel well so she could get attention too. Even still trying to recover from a cold, my Katy-love took two nice long naps, one of which let me take Reilly to a local chiropractor. Really hoping he'll be able to sleep tonight and not be in pain, for his sake and my Mom's. And Jeremy's going to be taking his Part IV Boards in about two days here. Lots of stress, lots of preparation. Please send lots of prayers his way!

My Little Girls

They are so sweet and fun, and so exasperating at the same time! (Mostly Jaina - Katy's not at the exasperating age just yet)
These pictures are so cute. Jaina has gotten more interested in and involved with Katy lately, and loves to hold her and talk to her. Don't judge Katy - she's really not as chubby as she looks here (combination of a really fluffy cloth diaper and a random "comfy" clothes look) and the bow was thrown on at the last minute so she at least looked like a girl... :)

Sisters! - even their eyes are in sync...

Here is a sweet one of Jaina asleep last Sunday. It was nice coming here - with the time change, she gets a 1-2 hour nap in before church without a problem.

And here is Katy with Uncle Spencer. They love each other. :)

Life is pretty crazy. Somehow the days seem busy and, at times, hectic, but I never seem to accomplish much. It's been 6 weeks now since we left Davenport, and we're missing Jeremy like crazy. We're really looking forward to seeing him at Thanksgiving. Katy and I have a cold right now, and Reilly and Jaina have some coughing and stuff. Maybe we got it from them? Who knows... We're just a tiny bit jealous of those of you that are already getting snow (Emily). At the same time, we played outside for probably an hour today and it was 78º and completely mild, so I guess it's give and take. I'd better get to bed - who knows how Katy will sleep tonight. Last night was a little unpredictable, but we were still blessed with decent sleep for us both being sick. Just looking forward to all the holidays and trying keep from driving my family crazy here in Arizona!
