So blessed!

I have an amazing husband. He is always thinking of ways to make me happy. I was a little sad that we're going to be in the car all day on my 30th birthday (instead of celebrating that milestone in style), but instead, I'm having like a 2-week birthday. Wednesday when he was off work, he scheduled me for a 90-minute massage and a haircut while he took the kids to the Children's Museum. This weekend I was sad that we're leaving and I couldn't figure out a time for us to go to the beach one last time, so he sent me all by myself. It was marvelous. I got to go out in the waves and just drift and enjoy myself without having to worry about anyone. There was a dog there swimming with its owner. Unrelated, mostly, but I really enjoyed watching it. I also got to read on my kindle for a while and try (without success) to get some sun on my poor white legs.

Me and my chair. It was so easy walking down to the
beach with a light bag and my very own chair instead
of carrying the gear for 4 people and sometimes a
chubby toddler, as well.

Using the timer to prove I was there, too, Britany.

Also, we're spending the several days before my birthday in D.C. with my parents and brother, which will be fun. And THEN after we get to AZ, we get to go to Sunsplash with most of my siblings with NO CHILDREN. I don't care where we go; it's been so long since I got to pretend I was just an adult and not a mommy overnight, that I feel a little giddy. I will miss Virginia a lot, but there are definite perks to moving closer to Grandmas! Jeremy is working hard to make sure I have a good "birthday," even though the day itself may not be a blast.

He is supremely skilled at organizing and packing, and is probably doing at least 2/3 of the work to get us moved back to Arizona. (Usually I'm pregnant or have a new baby or something, and he does about 85% of the work...)

Jeremy is also a good daddy. I love these pictures of him with his girls. :) We are lucky to have him!

Speaking of luck (or blessings), did I mention that Elder Bednar was the surprise visitor at our (combined with the other ward) sacrament meeting? It was pretty awesome, and my favorite part was that I kept forgetting to be excited that an apostle was standing there speaking to us because I was learning so much from what he was saying. Super, super cool.

Elder Bednar - that's awesome! What a great husband Jeremy is. That is sooo sweet for him to do all that. If it makes you feel better I'm due right around my 30th bday and pretty sure that is going to be no fun either. Ah, the joys of parenting! :)
