Three Little Fishies (and News)

We have spending a LOT of time in swimming suits. It has been so incredibly hot here lately, and we have another heat advisory for this weekend! We have been swimming in different pools, playing in the waves, and in a few back yards. (Not ours, though our balcony has been wet a few times thanks to spray bottles and likewise-damp children.)  Water play with three small children is a LOT of work. It takes us at least 30 minutes to get everyone dressed and sunscreened, and our gear gathered and loaded, and then there's a good hour of showering and washing suits and towels after we finally get home. The kids love it though, and we're trying to do a lot of it (especially the beach part of it) while we're still here.
That's right. We thought we were going to be here a few years, but Jeremy is ready to move on and open his own practice, so after a lot of thought, prayer, and fasting, we decided (last month) to move back to Arizona. We are going to miss the green, our friends, our ward, the ocean, and the pleasant temperatures 70% of the year, not to mention all the opportunities for sightseeing around here, but we're excited to go back. We miss our families, and Jeremy is really ready to be on his own and taking care of his own patients. Actually, we'll be making the almost-40-hour drive at the end of the month and moving everything out there, but Jeremy will be coming back for August and September to help keep the patient-flow up and train his replacement. We will miss him (again. I thought we were done with the whole living apart thing...) but it will be nice to be back by family, and the timing makes sense with Reilly starting kindergarten in August. We will probably live in Pima for several months and then be moving down to the Mesa/Gilbert area. I wasn't really interested in him switching schools -3- times in one semester, and though we thought about home-schooling him this semester, he's pretty excited about going to school. We'll see how it goes for him, and re-evaluate then. :) Bring on another adventure! (Though if this is the last time I drive almost ALL the way across the country [especially with small children] I really won't complain...)

A few of those friends we're going to miss.

A day we mistakenly went to the boardwalk (without Jeremy, even) when there
was a huge event going on.

This is how crowded the whole beach was. And parking was beyond
ridiculous...

But they had fun.

Wipe out. Slip 'n sliding in a friend's back yard.

Yummy

Summer haircut!

Tuesday down at Sandbridge. She actually insisted on
wearing this for a while, though she didn't want
in the water...

A little beach friend

My three little sand crabs. (The sand was then, the crabs came
later when they were worn out...)

haha! I like the sand crabs comment, that is pretty funny :) cross country! days of driving! 3 children! AAHHHH! So did that make it scarier-it wasn't my purpose but I think you are right about not having to make that drive more :) Hope all the prepping and packing is going well.

...I meant to say, not missing having to make the long drive again after this months cross country adventure! You need a calendar with pins to show all the places your family has been.

Good luck with the move, it's so amazing to see the photos of the green and the ocean and know that you are willingly driving back to the dry heat and the sand dunes! :o)
Family is really important though, and I'm sure it will be nice to be around them again now that you have the freedom to choose where you live!

I'm jealous that you have your minds made up about what you are doing and where you are going! It is such a difficult/permanent decision. Lol. How nice it will be to be closer to your families. Best of luck with your move!
Great pictures of your kids!
