I am trying to hurry and get this done tonight, though I need to get to bed ASAP, because it will make me feel less guilty for never writing my dear little brother, on his mission in Africa. ;-) Hi, Dave.
So everything went pretty well. Our trip was good; the kids did as well as could be expected on a 3-hr flight. The check in lady was super amazingly nice, and didn't charge us for our extra 4th bag (we had prepaid 3) plus was very happy to give Jeremy a pass to take us to the gate. Nice people helped me with our carry-ons getting on and off the plane. Katy had a really hard time napping, but she only fussed. No screaming. No dirty diapers. Reilly only had to use the airplane bathroom once, and it wasn't when the seatbelt signs were turned on. The DVD player battery lasted all the way through a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD and part of a Baby Einstein, but the kids did fine before and (mostly) after it. My dad came with my mom to pick us up, and it's a good thing, because I don't know HOW we would have done 3 kiddos, 4 (right at 50 lbs) bags, and 3 carseats. Did I mention we left nice 60 degree weather in Davenport and it was 108º in Mesa? :)
Anyway, we made it home to Pima, and the kids have been so happy to be here with all their grandmas and grandpas, an aunt, an uncle, and a cousin! (plus, we got to meet up with Sophie and Kinzi at Toys 'R Us before we left the valley, so Katy and Kinzi could meet. They were born the same night!)

Here are a few pictures I've taken so far. (Most of these are already on Facebook; I'm trying to take a lot for Jeremy, since we'll all be missing each other for about 7 weeks still!)

Since Reilly has never had a birthday in Arizona, his grandmas couldn't resist throwing him a party. It was a lot of fun, and Reilly and Jaina were super excited. They got to eat cake and ice cream, meet some kids here their own age (thanks for coming, Rays and Caseys!) and have a super fun evening! It was probably even worth the added mosquito bites...

I love that last picture with Reilly with rosy cheeks, and Jaina looking on so hopefully at that bite of cake Reilly is eating!
Can I tell you that I think Katy is absolutely adorable. Can't wait until I actually get to meet her...someday...hopefully before I get too old...(:
Maybe then I can put pictures on my blog, and David will love me too. (;
So glad you made it home safe and sane I mean sound... LOL I PROMISE I will email you pics for the slide show tonight! I have most of our pics on an external hard drive so I won't lose them if the comp crashes and I'm just so lazy that I use that as my excuse to not browse, pick and send them to you. Whew! That was a very long sentence!! :O)
so fun glad you made it to Az safely.
I'm glad to know you made it safely to the Arizona heat. Good thing it is starting to cool off.
Whew! You made it, what a relief that must have been! What cute pics, love Riley with his cake and Katy meeting her cousin for the 1st time. That's so neat that they were born on hte same day!
Super cute pics! Oh Sara, I got all teary-eyed when you said you'd be apart from Jeremy for 7 more weeks! I could barely handle 3 with Seth! My heart aches for you guys! Hang in there! Maybe we'll get to see you when we come at Halloween!
