Reilly found this post sitting opened, and title-less. You can see the resulting title. :) (the shortened version, anyway)  He likes to type, but hasn't been allowed to use the computer lately because of failure to stay in his room at bedtime EVERY night these days...

First I guess I should comment on my birthday a week and a half ago. Jeremy worked hard to make sure it was a great day for me! I had a coupon for a free birthday breakfast at IHOP, so we went there, followed by a quick trip to Wal-mart to return some things (which I'd been wanting to do for a while) and then we hung out at Border's for a while and grabbed a quick Burger King lunch (so I didn't have to cook)...
That afternoon while Jaina napped, Jeremy cleaned up most of the house while I held Katy, and read a book. Late that afternoon our neighbors watched Reilly and Jaina while we went to get 2-for-1 Orange Julius smoothies. Jeremy randomly wanted to stop at Goodwill on the way home, too, but he didn't buy anything... Of course I soon realized he had just been killing time when we came home to a surprise birthday BBQ/shower for Katy in the backyard! I was very surprised, and we had a great time! There were balloons, a fabulous Made-by-Melesa cake, gifts for Katy and me, and even some yummy steak! (I have never been a steak person, but I think my iron's still low from this last pregnancy, and I have been craving it lately!) It was such a fun surprise and a great birthday!

In other news, last Sunday Jeremy blessed Katy in our ward here in Davenport. She was blessed the same day her cousin, Kinzi (who was born the same night as her!) was blessed. Sadly, not in the same state. :( That would have been so much fun! Katy got to wear a beautiful dress that her Aunt Emily (who she is named after) made. Here are pictures of our family, and of Katy in her beautiful blessing dress.

This Friday was a good day. I didn't have to get up for the day until 8, then I moved Katy's pack n' play into her room, (she's actually going "to bed" at night in it, and taking naps here and there. Yay!) and accomplished all sorts of things. Life is beginning to get a little more normal again, and our sweetheart is only 7 weeks old. It's a good thing, because there is SO much to do in the next 6-7 weeks...
